A Stylish Old Marylebone Town Hall Ceremony and Regent’s Park Portraits

Kristine and Andrew’s wedding at Old Marylebone Town Hall was a stylish London civil ceremony followed by confetti on the steps and relaxed portraits in Regent’s Park. It had the rhythm I love in city weddings: a meaningful ceremony, close family and friends, a short portrait walk and a calm sense of celebration without anything feeling overproduced.

This post follows their wedding story. For more practical guidance on ceremony rooms, the steps, family photographs, confetti and timing at this venue, you can read my dedicated Old Marylebone Town Hall wedding photography guide.

A London civil ceremony

Kristine and Andrew chose Old Marylebone Town Hall for their ceremony, a venue known for its classic charm and rich history. The intimate setting perfectly reflected their love story, and as Kristine walked down the aisle, you could feel the emotion in the room. Both mothers were moved to tears of happiness, and I was honored to capture those raw, beautiful moments.

Kristine had shared with me before the big day that she was a bit nervous about posing, unsure of how she’d look in photos. But during the ceremony, all of that faded away as she focused on Andrew and the love surrounding them. After they exchanged vows and sealed it with a kiss, we stepped outside for the traditional descent down the famous Old Marylebone Town Hall steps, where their closest family cheered them on.

Wedding Portraits

After the ceremony, we stayed at Old Marylebone Town Hall to capture some stunning portraits. The historic building, with its grand architecture and timeless charm, provided the perfect backdrop for elegant, romantic photos.

I gave them gentle guidance, suggesting simple, natural poses that allowed their connection to shine. The result was a collection of intimate, heartfelt images that looked effortlessly beautiful. The marble columns and grand staircases of Old Marylebone Town Hall added a touch of elegance, while their genuine smiles and tender glances brought warmth and authenticity to every shot.

Once we finished at the town hall, we stepped outside to capture more moments in the heart of London. The plan was to visit some of the city’s iconic landmarks, but our car had other ideas—it broke down unexpectedly! But instead of letting this hiccup ruin the day, I suggested we grab a cab—and it turned out to be one of the best decisions!

Kristine and Andrew were all in. Andrew, ever confident and excited, loved the idea, and Kristine started to feel more relaxed with each click of the camera. We captured some fun, spontaneous shots with the cab. Then, we made our way to Regent’s Park, where the natural beauty and soft lighting provided the perfect backdrop for more romantic photos.

In the park, Kristine truly came into her own. She forgot about the posing and focused on enjoying the moment with Andrew. The results? A mix of candid laughter, tender glances, and romantic portraits that perfectly captured their connection.

From the grand halls of Old Marylebone Town Hall to the serene beauty of Regent’s Park, Kristine and Andrew’s portraits tell the story of a couple deeply in love, embracing every moment of their special day

A calm city-wedding rhythm

The day continued with a cozy reception at a stunning restaurant nearby. The space was intimate yet elegant, with a rooftop that gave us one last opportunity for breathtaking photos. As the sun began to set, Kristine and Andrew posed against the city skyline, creating images that felt both modern and timeless.

The reception itself was filled with joy. Family and friends shared heartfelt toasts, laughter echoed through the room, and the couple’s love story unfolded in every detail—from the décor to the delicious food. I made sure to capture not just the big moments but also the small, meaningful ones: clinking glasses, stolen glances, and candid smiles

Kristine and Andrew’s wedding day was a beautiful reminder that love shines brightest in the simplest of moments. Even when plans change, the magic of the day remains in the connection between two people—and capturing that is what I love most about being a wedding photographer.
